A lift calculator ;)

April 16th, 2008

This is the interior of elevator in Meloneras (Meloneras is the district near Maspalomas). When I first saw it I couldn’t say a word. This table looks like a calculator!

The most funny thing in this is fact that building, where this lift is placed, has no more then 4 floors ;)

Pack of cards

April 15th, 2008

A holiday resort in Taurito, lazy sunny day at the swimming pool. And two women playing cards. You’d say: so what? what’s wrong with that?
Actually nothing, but.. the size of the cards? Doesn’t look a little bit unusual? ;)

And tell me: How to shuffle cards like that? ;)

A sign to museum

April 14th, 2008

San Bartolome de Tirajana - a destination in our todays trip. Village placed high above in the mountains. Very pleasant and nice. But of course I had to find Something. And sometimes I think I attract things like that, because it’s not normal to see so many mistakes/differences/distincness in such little place.
Today it was a […]

Air condition ;)

April 13th, 2008

And this is what I found in the building next to mine - a pipe in the center of the window!
Always been thought that when you arranging your air condition inside your house you make it unvisible to another. But here, as you can see, is completely different. “Let everybody see that we have it” […]

Mountain of Rubbish or Canarians Recycling?

April 12th, 2008

Another strange place. Going through the island we’re passing plenty of little villages, not rather turistic places. And this time it wasn’t different. We arrived to Ojos de Garza. Very little, very quiet. Just few buildings, a little access to the sea, not even a beach. And Something.
It looks like an artistic mountain of rubbish […]

Knock, knock..

April 8th, 2008

An example of “canarias typical architecture” ;)

Just kidding of course. But you must admit it’s very strange to put hands into the doors as a knob or knocker. Looks rather macabric, doesn’t it? ;)

Little rock-wall and a tree

April 7th, 2008

While travelling from San Bartolome de Tirajana, in direction to Ayacata, we’re passing a little crossroad. The crossing way goes to Presa de Chira. And on this crossroad there’s a little parking place, from which you can look down to the valley and up-around on surrounded mountains. In this place there’s also a little hill, […]

It’s only fire…

April 6th, 2008

Last year on the island was a really big fire. The temperatures were very high, so they couldn’t stop the flames. They finally put out the fire after a week and because of it big parts of plants completely burnt.

When you going accross the island, there’s almost no signs, everything looks like it nothing happens. […]

Palms: Park or Cemetery?

April 5th, 2008

And again Castillo del Romeral, this little fishing village on the south-west coast of Gran Canaria. It seems to be so quiet. The coast was almost empty, only few people were walking there.
Near the sea, on the promenade, there is the place with a palm trees. Of course Palms are concreted in the pavement.

And just […]

The other side

April 4th, 2008

Everybody puting on their Webs just the beautiful images of palm trees, ocean or montains. And so we do, but as you can see - not always.
On the photo above you can see the very different picture of Gran Canary island. This is what we found while driving through the south-east coast, exactly in the […]
